Spice Up Your Life

Spice up your life

Okay, enough of the Spice Girls. Though I did spice up my life yesterday, starting with the farmers market where I bought some amazing spices. They smell oh so good.

Italian Spices
Ginger
Curry
Turmeric
Dill
Poppy Seeds (spice?)

Some of the essentials. They give you a heaping scoop and a half for only $1 which in the spice world is a steal. So I plan on doing some research this next week and finding out which spices are most expensive and then just buying them there. Though only spices I will actually use because if I spent money on something I won't use, you aren't actually saving money no matter how cheap it is.

I spiced my hair up yesterday as well. I bit the bullet and did a more drastic style than I was planning. It is the shortest I have ever had my hair cut. Kind of a short haired Sienna Miller meets short haired Michelle Williams. It takes me a while to get used to new hairstyles and figuring out how to make it my own. So I took the liberty of making a new "look book" of old and new outfits last night. For those of you who are not aquatinted with look books, a look book is just an assortment of outfits you have put together and styled and then take pictures of for future reference. So if I am in a bind and can't think of what to wear, I can just pull out the look book and find what would be appropriate or get inspired. Technically it is a lazy person's guide to try and look put together.

I think making a look book helps you get creative and have fun with your clothes which is a perfect time to get to know your new hairstyle. I didn't feel like clearing everything out of the frame like my books and my paintings so that is what you are seeing on the one side. Oh and in order to fit an entire look into one shot I had to get into some funny positions. Don't judge.

Here is an up close look of my hair.

So there you have it. Since I have been on the topic of spices I thought I would leave you with this funny commercial.

Your hair looks SO GOOD. You really, truly wear short hair well. Sidenote: I really like the jacket in the first picture.
